While I am flattered that this blog is getting lots of traffic still, WE HAVE MOVED! Come and see us at Food – Grow it, Cook it,  Eat it.

Come and take a look around. There are lots of new posts on recipes, handy hints and tips, growing your own and my garden diary. You can also follow on Facebook and Twitter.

I look forward to your visit.

When I started writing this blog just before Christmas last year it was because we were planning on sorting out our garden, planning on growing some vegetables and fruit and creating a really nice space to spend some time. Well, it’s done – from a renovation point of view any way. The addition of the conservatory has made the garden accessible whatever the weather, the large patio is private and great for entertaining, big enough for seats and potted flowers but not so big that the garden feels like it is all patio. The grass is starting to grow back nicely and the little vegetable beds are thriving.

So, this is where I Grew This Earlier is closing down but that does not mean that I am abandoning the garden bloggers community. I am moving on from renovation to cooking and what better to cook than your own home grown produce. There will still be gardening tips and diaries just under a new name. So thanks for all of your comments, I will be keeping up with you still, I hope you will do the same.

Six Go Mad I have a vision about going on a summer picnic with a loved one. I have a flowing dress, perfect hair and make-up, there may even be a pink flower tucked behind one ear. The backdrop is green and fresh. He, the loved one,  is bronzed, lean and hanging on my every word. I have packed a picnic of delicate sandwiches and cakes, olives and fancy cheese, pressed juices and fresh coffee. There is a slight breeze to keep us cool and we sit and giggle li … Read More

You will see that there is a very handy link to the right of the screen for the sister site to I Grew This Earlier. So you have seen the garden, now visit the kitchen…..Natalie’s Kitchen – confessions of a foodie. Looking forward to seeing you.

The first of the raised beds are full and growing rapidly. You can probably just see the broad beans peeking over the cloche and the cabbages in this far end bed. Right down at the end of the garden the garlic is going mad. I hope my scabby lawn follows suit soon!

How’s the garden coming on?

Apple trees….

Broad Beans….

Cabbage….

Chilli’s….

Garlic……

….. and Herbs.
